Mom Appreciation Day

Yesterday as most of you know (if not you are quite behind) was MOTHERS APPRECIATION DAY! I was working and was unable to go home and spend time with my mother :( so i had flowered delivered to her at work :)

This is the picture my mother sent me of the flowers she received:

I feel the florist did an excellent job! :) Though it’s not exaclty what i had asked for…

I went to work this afternoon and all the ladies there were sharing what they had received from there husbands, children, so on and so forth. They chatted about this for about an hour until one of them suddenly looked and me and said “Well, what did your husband get you!?” I just sat there for a second and then replied “I don’t have a husband…” I thought they were all aware of this. But, apparently not. They all stared at me blankly for a minute and then the same lady said “Oh. Well, what did your children get you?” I responded that i don’t have any of those either. After quite a long awkward pause another lady said “Well, that explains why you have no problems working this shift… It’s those of us with children and husbands that have a hard time with it.” I wanted to laugh out loud! I do have serious issues with this shift. 5pm-5am every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday seriously cuts into my weekends and social life! Trust me lady i hate feeling like i’m missing all the parties, weddings, baby blessings and camping trips to be there working on bills. If it wasn’t for the fact that i can get almost 40 hrs in 3 days and can still keep my ticket office job during the week i would be outta that factory faster than you can say bills. It’s a good job though and i don’t mind it other than missing out on things…

However, this post isn’t about me. It’s about Mothers Day. I love you Mom! You are truly amazing and i appreciate everything you do for me SO much!

This is truly amazing. I love her country music. But this is just so much better.
